Who we are

Our website address is: https://involvenepal.org.  We’re a registered charity, Charity no. 1175436.  Our aim is to assist in the relief of those suffering hardship as a result of the Nepal earthquakes, and any future disasters. By the rebuilding of homes, schools and health centres, using local resources and people to help with the planning, construction and maintenance of the buildings.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

We obtain information about you when you use our website, for example, when you contact us about products and services, or when you subscribe to receive information & communications from us.  We only process data in lawful ways and in accordance with the GDPR guidelines.  That is processing your personal data that you’ve given us your consent to use in providing you with information or service detail or that is necessary before we enter into a contract with you.

The personal information we collect might include your name, address, email address, IP address, and information regarding what pages are accessed and when. We store data that you submit to use through the website after giving consent through our forms to provide you with the information, service or communications you have requested.

How is your information used?
We may use your information to:
to carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into by you and us;
seek your views or comments on the services we provide;
notify you of changes to our services;
send you communications which you have requested and that may be of interest to you.

Our site uses contact forms and forms to process donations.  Our site uses https with an SSL certificate so that data is sent to the server is encrypted.

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

For users who use our website to make a donation, we store the relevant personal information. You can see the data we hold after your donation by logging in and viewing your donation history.
